Visit the town of Porvoo. This second oldest town in Finland and was named after the ancient fortress and river by name Borgå – the Swedish name for Porvoo. Finland's national poet J.L Runeberg, painter Albert Edelfeldt and sculptor Ville Vallgren have all been inspired by the town's unique charm. The Old Town of Porvoo is picturesque town where it is easy to step back in time.
